Almond flakes

Almonds can be purchased in various forms – as whole nuts, sliced into flakes or sticks, or even completely ground. Blanched almond flakes are obtained from mature almond kernels that have been shelled and blanched, by cutting them lengthwise into slices. In our current offering, we have flakes with a thickness of 0.7-0.9 mm.

The almond flakes we offer are an ideal semi-finished product for professionals in the baking and confectionery industry, HoReCa, and the packaging sector. Blanched almond flakes are used as a topping for salads, an addition to bread, sweet pastries, chocolates, and for decorating ice creams.

Almond flakes – properties and uses

Almond flakes are thinly sliced almonds that are very popular in cooking and dieting. They are rich in nutritional value, including healthy fats, protein, fiber, vitamins (such as vitamin E, B2, and B3), and minerals (magnesium, calcium, and iron). As a result, they support heart health by improving cholesterol levels and blood pressure.

In the kitchen, almond flakes can be used in many ways. They work wonderfully as an addition to muesli, oatmeal, salads, or yogurts. They can also be used to decorate cakes and desserts, adding crunch and flavor. Almond flakes pair well with fruits, honey, and spices, and their delicate nutty flavor enhances many dishes.

It is also worth noting that almond flakes are gluten-free, making them an ideal choice for people with gluten intolerance. Due to their nutritional properties and versatility, almond flakes are a healthy and tasty addition to the diet.
